CULTURE STATEMENT OF ARTISTS AROUND THE WORLD

 
   First Annual Conference of the World Art Games, November 18th – 21st, in Zagreb – Hotel Holiday.
 

The representatives of 22 States / National Committees (among 65 in a WAG network in the World) attended the Conference and some more have become involved through a video link (with the assistance of Faculty of Electrical Engineering – University of Osijek).

   

On the Conference was present representatives (presidents and members) of: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, France, Croatia, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Hungary, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey – and by video links: Canada, Mexico and United Kingdom. The Conference was viewed on-line in 47 countries around the world.

Important decisions:

• Defined the date of the first Games: June 29th – July 10th, year 2013 in Croatia.

• Declaration of the World Art Games, which speaks about the idea, mission and basic principles of WAG, was signed. Principles of the World Art Games stated in a Declaration are recognized as a worldwide creative force which emphasize humanity.

• The Declaration will be sent to the important organizations (UN, UNESCO, EU,…) and the world’s great foundations, as a cultural statement of the Artists of 65 countries of the world (till the Games 2013 we expect to be more than 100 States in WAG`s net)

• Last preparations for the Games 2013 started

• Announced is the possibility of the candidacy of countries to host the Games in the years 2015 and 2017

• It was agreed (according to invitation of the Turkish National Committee and the Mayor of Izmir) that the next Annual Conference will be held in September 2012 the city of Izmir, in Turkey.

Lisbon, Portugal.

In this workshop artists learn how to transport images to a 3D hologram’s with an intense exploration of the medium through practical, hands-on work. For us, learning by doing means requiring each artist to make a series of short hologram’s. This artist applies the experience gained through this process to their project, and the learning process continues.

Our goal is to give artists the basic tools and practical hands-on experience needed for hologram’s technique. This lays a solid foundation for future art work. The artists themselves will apply what they have learned to whichever path they take. We believe that artists provide the talent; we provide the instruction, equipment and structure. It is the artists drive and creative ability that carries them forward.takes them through the entire 3D techniques hologram’s process. The artist applies the experience gained through this process to theirproject, and the learning process continues.

We provide artists with the opportunity to learn hologram’s techniques by doing just that. Artists are challenged to make creative decisions that in some way, great or small, contribute to the new expression
images of their art projects. We encourage artists to explore the various ways of expressing an idea or a thought through hologram’s images. We believe the new technologies are the future of the art to be showing to a great mass and his messages Towards this end, all the artists begin making their own hologram’s in the first week of our workshop and they must bring their video images ready to apply.

With this project, artists explore the unique properties of the digital format. Project must an experimental video image form and up to 7 minutes.

The portability and flexibility of digital video make it an excellent format for a projection, while the unimposing size of the image allow for a new intimacy working with arts images projects. Artists must have previous plan their projects meticulously and then improvise and utilize the best aspects of the digital mediumand hologram’s technologies.

Artists interested on this experimental projects with music must have its record previously.

Artists have an exhibition of their final hologram’s projects during the last 3 days of the program, open to others artists, friends and family.

The video images must be high quality.

Idea: Get-together and celebration by friends of sculpture – artists, art mediators, friends of the arts – at the same time and date in many different places in Europe. Encounters, exchange of ideas, enjoyment and creation of new ideas and projects.

Guests:  Members of sculpture network, friends of sculpture and colleagues of the hosts

Locations:  many different loactions throughout Europe click here to become a host for the Brunch in 2012

Programme:  Each location and host offer particular attractions – all have one thing in common: Exchange and debate about contemporary sculpture. Sculptors, please bring along catalogues and images of your work. What happens in the particular locations is up to the host and his/ her guests: round table discussion, lectures, exhibition of art works, etc. – everything is possible!

Food+Drink:  Simple and tasty, depending upon individual taste. Will be provided by the hosts.

Costs:  Manageable, will be shared among the guests. Ca. 10-15 EUR.

Communication: Live- Video-Stream from different locations.
Simultaneous toast to the New Year and our common interest
